Judith M. Thorne, MA, MS, Psy.D.

Dr. Judith M. Thorne practices as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Charlotte, NC. She possesses an MA in Applied Psychology (1989), an MS in Applied Psychology (1993) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (1997). She has served on the board of “NC depression after delivery”, has been a resource for “NC moms supporting moms” and has received certification from Postpartum Support International.

Dr. Thorne has been in private practice for over 18 years, treating children, adolescents, adults and couples. Over the last 17 years, she has become an expert in perinatal anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders. She also treats those who have experienced infertility and loss.

Dr. Thorne has taught at the University level, has conducted continuing education, appeared on local news to provide information and has acted as a supervisor to both psychologists and social workers. She personally experienced a postpartum adjustment after the birth of her first child and is passionate about helping others to navigate through this difficult experience.

Carol F. Peindl, MSN, RN, CS

Carol Peindl received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Ohio State University and her BSN from Case Western Reserve University. She is certified as a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Carol is a member of “Postpartum Support International” and a North Carolina State Coordinator for PSI.     

Carol has over 30 years experience as a maternal-child nurse. Additionally, Carol has led support groups for more than 20 years related to postpartum adjustment and/or depression, infertility, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  She has worked as a psychotherapist in private practice in Huntersville for 15 years. Her practice specializes in Perinatal Mood Disorders, Fertility, and Perinatal loss. Carol also is certified in EMDR and helps women with trauma, especially difficult delivery experiences. She is trained in Somatic Experiencing and Internal Family Systems. She enjoys working with couples helping them adjust to a new baby and keep their relationship strong.

Carol personally experienced 6 years of infertility and a miscarriage.  She is married and has two adult children. 

Carole Bombardier, MSW, LCSW, CHt

Carole Bombardier received her Bachelor of Science degree at the State University of New York at Albany in 1988. She completed her Master of Social Work training at Rutgers University. She subsequently earned her certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. She is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists & National Association of Social Workers.

Carole has over 25 years of experience working with families, children and adults in a wide variety of settings including community centers, agencies, and public health in the areas of developmental disabilities, early intervention, and child & family issues. She has been in private practice for six years in Concord and Huntersville, NC. She has a special interest in women’s issues including pregnancy, infertility, prenatal and postpartum mood disorders and weight loss. She will be offering group classes on stress reduction, self esteem, and weight loss. As a certified fertility therapist she helps couples enhance their fertility naturally through hypnosis and other mind/body approaches.

Carole has been married for 23 years and has a son, age 20 and a daughter, age 14. 

Tanya Masci, MSW, LCSW

Tanya is originally from upstate New York where she received her BSW at Niagara University and her MSW at Syracuse University.  She received her licensure in NC as a clinical social worker in 2003 and began her private practice. Tanya sees women and their families who are suffering from perinatal mood disorders at the Charlotte location. Tanya has a primary office in Charlotte, NC where she treats those suffering from mood/anxiety disorders, PTSD, and grief/loss.  She is a certified EMDR therapist.

Tanya experienced  postpartum depression/anxiety with both her sons, who are 7 years and 5 years.
